Drift for iPhone · Last updated [release date]

Drift doesn't ask what you were thinking. It saves only when each tap and meditation happened and in which time zone, plus your weekly check-in if you answer it, on this device. There's no account, no server and no tracking. You can export it, for example to share with a clinician.

What Drift stores

Drift never stores what the thought was, notes or anything you type. There is nothing to type. The weekly check-in is the only answer it keeps, and it's optional.

The widgets

Drift's Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show only a picture of the duck and the words "Let it pass" or "Meditate". They never show how often you've tapped or sat, and they hold none of your data: tapping one opens Drift, which saves the moment, or starts the sit, as usual.

Where it's kept

Only on your iPhone, inside Drift. Drift makes no network connections and has no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.

Like other app data, Drift's data is included in your device backups (such as iCloud Backup) if you use them. Those backups are protected by Apple's backup encryption.

Exporting it

Settings › Export as CSV writes every entry into a .csv file and opens the iPhone share sheet, so you choose where it goes (for example Mail, to share with a clinician). Drift doesn't send it anywhere itself, and removes its own copy once the share sheet closes.

Deleting it

Settings › Delete all data removes every moment, meditation and check-in and resets your settings. You can also remove a single entry from the Calendar in Your practice. Deleting the app also removes its data from the device.

Children

Drift collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this ever changes (for example, an optional sync feature), this page will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be opt-in.
